What the reviews say

The reviews are short and to the point, which suits us. Two that come up:

That first one matters to us. As a locally owned, family-run business, the people running ABC are on the floor and on site, not in another city. When the work is hard, that makes a difference.

Rosters that work

Heavy engineering does not stop, but a roster should still let you have a life. Depending on the role, our crews work arrangements built to suit the job and the person, including even-time rosters and, on some site roles, six weeks of annual leave. On site rosters, meals and accommodation are provided, and the camps are kept clean.

Genuine variety

One week you might be on a dragline in the Bowen Basin, the next on a sugar mill shutdown or a slew bearing change-out. Because ABC covers fabrication, machining, fitting, field services and plant hire, the work changes and the skills keep building. Tradespeople do not get stuck doing the same single task for years.

Tickets and trades

We hire mechanical fitters, tradesmen and servicemen, welders, boilermakers and auto electricians. Useful tickets include a Standard 11 induction, Coal Board Medical, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights and a current Driver's Licence.
